Practical Witchcraft is about spiritual seeking,
friendship, love and treachery. The story unfolds in the past, present as well
as parallel timelines, taking place in Estonia, the United States and Mexico.
The lives of the three protagonists—a girl and two boys studying in an American
university—become unexpectedly intertwined, affecting each other in a much
deeper way than they could have initially imagined.
The main themes of the novel are the striving to see
underneath life’s surface, importance of coincidence in individual lives, and
fragility and convulsiveness
of human relations.
